Four Loko Blamed for Illnesses on University Students

Four Loko, a popular energy drink among college students is currently under investigation after nine freshmen from the Central Washington University ended up sickened for drinking it on an off-campus party.

The blood-alcohol levels of the sickened students ranged from 0.12 percent to 0.35 percent. This is a lot, because 0.30 in alcohol levels could lead to death. According to the university’s president James L. Gaudino one female student nearly died after drinking this.
