tasmanian tiger:Tasmania’s wilderness is starring with American actor Willem Dafoe in a multi-million dollar movie being shot in the island state.
In the film, titled The Hunter, Dafoe plays a mercenary sent to find the last Tasmanian tiger.
Filming has started on the craggy, cloudy top of Hobart’s Mount Wellington and will move around the state over six weeks.
The producer, Vincent Sheehan, says the landscape and local people are fantastic to work with.
