Toyota Motor Corp. announced that they are beginning a recall of 2.17 million vehicles sold in USA due to problems with the carpet and floor-mat that can in turn jam the gas pedal.
With this move, Toyota has expanded by 1.38 million vehicles the November 2009 recall on vehicles with the same problem. Affected models in this recall are: 2003 through 2009 4Runner sport-utility vehicles, model 2006 through 2010 RAV4 SUVs and model 2008 through 2011 Lexus LX SUVs.
